A link is a link, whether it comes by SMS, WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, TikTok or Telegram. Paste the message and we look at the link before you open it.
Examples
Parcel SMS: “Your package is waiting: https://…”
WhatsApp: “Vote for my niece: https://…”
Social network: “Your account will be closed, confirm here: https://…”
We judge the link, not whether the sender’s account was taken over. A photo of a link or a voice message cannot be checked: paste the text.
How
1. Do not open the link in the message.
2. Copy the whole message (or just the http link) and paste it below.
3. We look at the domain, redirects, and the page — then we say whether the risk is neutral, to watch, serious or very serious.
Your message is never published; it is kept 30 days to improve detection. This is not a police report and not a guarantee.
Knowing your name, address or social security number does not make a message genuine: after the large data breaches (France Travail, health insurance third-party payment operators…), scammers often have them. Check the link anyway.
